This is a steep climb thruough beautiful bush to the hut, 4 hrs. 6 bunks, 1 ticket or hut pass. Drop packs at track junction, climb another hour to the peaks, an amazing plateau with grand views all around! Explore for a few hours, then go down to stay in the cosy hut for the night. Next day, retrace our steps, drive to Lake Rotoroa and water taxi to Sabine or d'Urville hut. Times and $ or the taxi tba. Of course, you can drive home and join us for the Moss Pass, see Calendar.

Depending on the weather, we might swap the days around. If forecast for calm and dry, we could camp on the tops.
